artmaking classes/workshops for adults and children

  • children, high school students, college students, professional artists, and hobbyists - all receive the same respect and level of commitment from me

my aim is that everyone will find his/her own mark and creative voice

  • by learning about the formal aspects of art-making

  • and being introduced to a large selection of images by a huge range of artists

@ the nanoCUBE studio

a variety of workshops are on offer

  • foundation drawing - a 6 session course that explores the formal elements of artmaking, and encourages you to develop your own style of drawing

  • printmaking - monotype and relief printing (bespoke workshops)

  • simple bookmaking for artists - creating artist's books in different formats

  • contemporary artwriting for artists - how to write an artist's statement, a press release, a catalogue essay and for your online presence; and how your writing style reflects your 'brand' as an artist - also available via ZOOM

studio ethos @the nanoCUBE

  • group sizes: 2 to 6 participants

  • most sessions are project-based, and structured in an atmosphere of relaxed flexibility

  • low-toxic studio practice: water-based inks - eco-friendly cleaning materials - paper recycling

  • my studio library of books about art history, artmaking practices and contemporary art is great for browsing and triggering ideas, especially during coffee breaks!

the artmaking focus @the nanoCUBE

  •  enables everyone to develop his/her own creative style

  • and allows for a relaxed and encouraging studio environment
